TGIF. Been so busy at work this week didnt have time to update about the Tokyo all last concert.
It was GREAT fun on Sunday. Tons, loads better than Friday. What did the mice do when the cat was away? Played, they did. Actually they were goofing around.
Its been a long time since I went to a concert that was really great fun. Everyone was in high spirits, Arashi as well as the fans.
(Actually i lied, Day 3 of Osaka was great fun so I guess long time would be 2 months?!!) XD
The MC was long, so its taken some time to( Read more... ) transcribe.
Jun usually changes out of his sweat soaked shirt at the start of the MC, that is the chance for all the fan girls to go KYAAAAAAAAAAAAAA and Ri-da- would try to cover up Jun when he goes to the side of the stage to change.
S,N, A: Ohno-san, please make sure you cover him up properly.
(Jun decides not to change at the corner of the stage but climbs down the stairs at the bottom of the stage, as if he is going off stage.)
O: Oi!! That is wrong!! Come out!! Come Out!! (the way he said that, Dettekoiya! )
S: Hey that sounds like Taka-san!
J; Is Taka-san here today?
O; Hey come out !
J; Well there are so many people looking at me and so I thought that it would have been better if I could hide myself and change.
O: No, no, do as you have always been doing! (Sounding like a drill sergeant) Take it OFF!! (脱げーっ！！）
Jun refuses to take it off so leader goes and starts unbuttoning Jun’s shirt. XD
Fans: KYAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA
N: S, Taka-san、 take it off for him!!
Jun puts on the t-shirt and wraps the red tour towel around his shoulders.
O(approvingly) : Ok that is great! (soredeiiya!)
S; I was very surprised by the fans when, during Aibachan’s solo, when he sang the part “Melodi no nai uta ga arunda-', everyone will reply back 'douyatte kimi ni tsutaerebaii.. right?
The response from the audience was lukewarm to his question. Sho looks a bit shocked at the lack of response. XD
A: You guys!! Dont lie ! You said it right?
S: Ok! Shall we try asking them again?
A: yes let's do!
S(starts asking again like nothing has happened before): Hey during Aiba-kun solo, when he sings 'Melodi no nai uta ga arunda', everyone will answer ' do yatte kimi ni tsutaerebaii' right?
Fans: HAI!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
S: I want to hear that again. Don't just go 'yeah!!!' i want to confirm that you guys said it. Ok lets go!
A: 'Melodi no nai uta ga arun da~~~'
Fans(yelling back): 'DOUYATTE KIMI TSUTAEREBAII!!!!'
S: OK now i want to hear the Men's Only version. But change the 'kimi' to 'omae'
J(testing out the phrase, in a deep voice): 'Douyatte omae ni tsutaerebaii!!'
A: Ok lets go! 'melodi no nai uta ga arunda!!'
The response was lukewarm. Could hear some guys voices but didnt know what they were saying.
J: Erm, Well that was good, I suppose
S: Sorry its my fault, it should have asked you guys to say such a long phrase out.
A; Today , not only are the fans in high spirits, even the arashi members are also in high spirits. Right, Shochan ? Before we started , right?
N,J: Oh yes, that was fantastic.
S: Hmm? What? What?
A: Well, its that thing he hates, the thing about being hung from the balloon - maybe since this is the last concert of the year.....
N: well he was spinning around, wasn't he?!!
Fans : OHHHHHHHHH
N: yes he was doing handstands!
A: well as we were being strapped in hanging around waiting to start, Shochan, he was pretty enthusiastic and he was doing handstands!!
Fans: OOHHH!!!! (clap!!)
N: Well, it was either he has become used to being hung from the balloon or that it was so low that the height was OK for him.
S Ok, I shall explain. Actually my dream is to be able to spin in circles in front of everyone
Fans: AHHHHHHHHHH.................
N: your dream?
S(continuing):......... and to be frank, as the tour progresses, I have become used to this. And so , as we were not very high off the ground, I was thinking that since it was so low, I could try spinning around. And when I did it, it was extremel.y invigorating!
Members and Fans: HAHAHAHAHAHA
S: At that height, I was ok. And then do you know why I was doing handstands?
N: No. Why?
S: Well i actually wanted to spin around, but I got scared and extended my arms to stop myself and ended up in a handstand position! I originally wanted to spin around.
J: Today Ohno-san you were laughing when we were performing "A-Re-Ru-GI"
O: Yes, today MatsuJun was very funny. There is this dance move right, (shrugs his shoulders) well, I was looking at Matsujun on the monitor and he looked like he was in great difficulty in trying to do that choreography.
J: Well, dont you think that we using our arms too much in A-re-ru-gi?
S: no, no, we use all our whole body not just the arms.
J: Really?
O,A,S: we really put in all our effort into doing that.
J: Hmm don't you get sick of the song?!
S:A, No Way, we are not sick of it!!!
N: There are pple out there who are fans of A-re-ru-gi!!
J; No way!! A-RE-RU-GI doesn't have that many fans! Why don't you ask them, I don't think there are so many A-RE-Ru-Gi fans!
Fans: EHHHHHHHHHH!!
A: Are there any fans of A-Re-Ru-GI?!!!
Fans (yelling): YAY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
J:Then why is it that the reponse from the audience is so lukewarm during "A-RE'Ru'Gi?"
S;THey are looking at the screen! Those scenes on the screen are very nostaligc, (scences of them performing at their past concerts are shown when this song is being performed)
N: Probably they might not be able to see those scenes again so they are looking.
S: I think for me, A-re-ru-gi is the song that i have to psych myself most for during rehearsals. Aiba-san he has drama, so he cannot come to rehearsals often. And since the chereography dictates that I am a pair with Aiba-kun, doing that cheoreography all by myself is very embarrassing!!. I have to do all the moves by myself! (demonstrates the move)
Fans: Hahahahahah
S: yes we have to cross paths in the mddle of the stage, but I am doing it by myself...
(Sho and Aiba try to demonstrate the movement, but get it wrong a few times, and in the end give up trying to do it.) XD
N; Hey leader, you went wrong during your song and went "Ah machigaechatta!!~~♪”
N: A, Today you are very lax huh.
O: Sorry I got lost in the middle of the song!!
N: What happened?
O: Eh??
S; Well there are alot of pple who look forward to the song, like kids who dress up like Uta no Onisan
O; Yes, I was very surprised. Kids, they were all in Uta no Onisan costumes.
S: AH made by their moms right.
A: Then you should apologise for getting the lyrics wrong.
O : Sorry for getting my lyrics wrong!! (bows deeply)

N: That's fine if you get it wrong, but it was the way you said "Machigaechatta" I thought you were singing it out!
S: In the end how did you cover it up?
N: You did something else, right at the end?
J,S: Yeah since you made a mistake, you had to redeem yourself by doing something right?
S, J: yeah the fans want some thing more right?
A; Ok leader show us what you did today.
N:J: No, first do what you normally do.
O: Normally I would do this, (turns) and this (does the little hand wave and poses) and then ...this (walks off the stage)
A: ok so today?
O: Today I did this, (turns), and this (does the little hand wave and poses) and ... then this... (walks off the stage and just as he was about to disappear, he does a little Star jump off the stage)

O: No I have never done it!! I made a mistake and was thinking I should do something to redeem myself and ended up doing a star jump off the stage!!

N: Well during today's rehearsal for Crazy Moon, Sho-san told you very politely (Looking at Aiba) that you were not supposed to be singing that part right?
A: Yes he did.
S: I told you three times right?
A: Yah but then when I came out here, I got so happy I forgot and sang someone else's part again!
S: Well 2009 is almost over, but there are still a couple of events going on. Wouldn't you guys be very busy on Dec 31st? We are appearing in Kohaku. It’s our first time.
N; Hey, I have this question on my mind, in that case does this mean that we cannot wear red on that night? (because we are the white team)
J: Well we are just the white team. During sports day you see red team members wearing white too, right?
S: Maybe we should wear sport gear and appear on stage.
J: Yes! like, 'We are arashi !!YEAH!!'(in sports gear)
S: hey you know when I was shooting my drama at this shop, the person at the shop told me 'hey why don't you appear in your debut costume?!' So I told him ' I think we will be barred from entering the stage if we wear that!!!' and the shop guy was like 'ohhhh I see.....'
N: hey Kanjani is doing the countdown in Osaka right?
S: Oh really?
N: yes it was announced in the paper. This is my own honest opinion, but I think it will be a very easygoing countdown!
S: Last year during the countdown, I was singing 'aisareruyori aisaretai' with them. I was a bit late for rehearsals and when I got there, those guys were going with great gusto 'Aisareruyori Aisaretai.....' and yelling 'HEY HEY!!!' at the back!
N: That was Maru, right?
O: yeah those guys are crazy!
S: So 5 minutes later, I was going 'HEY HEY!!' with them!!
Announcements:
S: Jan 16th, I am appearing on the drama about the great Hanshin earthquake and on jan 17th the first episode of Tokujyo Kabachi starts.
N: Have u finished shooting the first episode?
S: No, still in the middle of it. Well, some parts have some animations to it. It’s a drama but there are also some other additions to it. Oh yes, and there is this tune or something which will only be played once during the airing of the first episode. So, even if you buy the DVD of the drama later on, it will not be in there.
N: what is that?
S: well, I am not saying because I want you guys to watch it!
J: So what is that? A new song that is composed especially for this?
S: Something like that...
J: its not a famous song like a beatles song, it’s a new song that was especially composed for this?
S: I will leave it like that for the moment. Vague!
Sho goes off the stage to prepare for his solo.
J: The tour is approaching the end, only Nagoya is left, right?
N: yes, the next time we do a concert, Aiba-san will be 42 years old.
A: No I will be 27. leader, you celebrated your birthday during this tour right? what did u get?
N, A: What did u receive?
O: Clothes and stuff. it was cute. I got this orange jacket from the band members for fishing. I always wear black based clothes, so they gave me something orange.
N: Is it for fishing?
O: yes but I don’t want to wear it, it will be smelly after I touch all the fish.
N: Can't you wash it?
O: yes I can, but (thinks for awhile) ................... I want to wear it during normal times too. Can't I do that?!
N,A,J: yes, yes, you can....
O: I got stuff from the juniors and the members too. I got the Mario game from Nino.
J, A: hang on, so did we!!
O: (looking very surprised) EH!!? Why did you guys get it too?? (Turns to nino): Hey why did u give it to
them?!
N: What do you think? You think its only YOUR Mario?!! Its Mario, for everyone!!
O: Then you should have given me TWO Marios, since it was my birthday?
N: (Turns to audience): Look at this kid, he is insolent!!
O(getting worked up): What do you mean!!
A(trying to pacify him) : u got presents from the members right?
O: yes I got a T-shirt from Aiba-chan and also from Matsujun.
A: How about Shochan? what did he give you?
O: He didn’t give me anything!! that guy!! he asked me for my shoe size but up till now I didn’t get anything from him!
N,A, J(talking about Shochan) : Ohhh.... he didn’t give? Wonder why he didn’t give? What's up with him...... etc.....
Suddenly this voice from nowhere fills the Dome. Its Sho, who is backstage, trying to redeem himself.
Sho into the mike , from back stage(hastily) : I will buy tomorrow!! I will buy it tomorrow!!
J,N,A: WAH.... kowai kowai..... scary...!!! yikes..... Who is that?!!!??!! We can hear him but where is he??Yikes!!
Sho: Footsize .... footsize its 25,5cm right?
Aiba: Yikes, shochan he is scary, lets better go on with the concert!!

It was a long concert, almost 3.5 hours but it was super fun. And they lobbed off the concert by singing A.RA.SHI. as the third encore.

I am home!! (and stuffing my face) ^ ^ This amused me for some reason. The only reason why I wanted to try this is that this stall is named Masamune. But I had the Fried Hokkien Mee instead, a couple of stalls down. ^ ^ Anyone tried this fish soup before?! Food Republic, Wisma Atria.
